SHIMA Lab's Project

Proposal of virtual light touch contact and fall prevention and walking support

In Japan, where the super-aging society is advancing, fall accidents have become a major problem in daily life and work sites. To solve this problem, we are aiming to devise a methodology to reduce the fall risk inherent in humans by using a virtual wall, and to develop a methodology to quantify the fall risk. .

Motion transmission and training support that combines functional electrical stimulation and motion estimation

Humans need to contract multiple muscles in a timely manner with appropriate force to achieve skillful exercisePosture transmission control device, attitude transmission device, attitude transmission method and program. We are developing training support methods for acquiring skillful exercise for sports and motor function rehabilitation.

Development of an untrained class-estimation artificial intelligence model

Ordinary machine learning models, such as neural networks and support vector machines, cannot identify and use classes that are not assumed at training time. We are devising a new probabilistic model for estimating undefined classes at training time with high accuracy, and developing an interface system using it.
